summary

Myxofibrosarcoma consists of a series of malignant fibroblastic lesions with varying degrees of myxoid stroma, pleomorphism, and unique curved vessels. Most of the tumors are located in the extremities, about 2 / 3 of them are in the dermis / subcutaneous tissue, and the rest are located in the lower fascia and skeletal muscle. Most of them are painless tumors with slow growth. The local recurrence rate is 50% - 60%. Is myxofibrosarcoma a cancer? Next, I'd like to share my views with you.

Is myxofibrosarcoma cancer?

Fibrosarcoma is a tumor formed by fibroblasts and collagen fibers. Its pathogenesis can occur in injured or burned scars, osteomyelitis, fistulas and sinuses, and after radiotherapy (at least 3 years after radiotherapy). Fibrosarcoma is rare (about 10% of all soft tissue sarcomas). It can be found in any gender and age, but the incidence rate is generally higher in 30~70 years old. The average age of onset is about 45 years old, and seldom occurs before 10 years old.

Some of them were congenital. The most common site of the disease was the thigh, followed by the trunk and other limbs. The distal part of the limb, including the hand and foot, may be the most common site of fibrosarcoma in children, but it is rare in adults. Most of them were located in the deep layer of superficial fascia, presenting as a single spherical mass, sometimes lobulated. It usually grows fast (but not all fast). Sometimes, the tumor doubles within a few weeks.

Some of them belong to the congenital type and are quite large at birth. The texture is hard and the edge is quite clear. In the late stage, it may adhere to the bone, and also make the skin ulcerate outward and grow like mushrooms. Sometimes the nerve trunk can be compressed, but in most cases there is little or no pain.

matters needing attention

Usually more patients must pay attention to personal hygiene, relax, must pay attention to rest, don't be too nervous, don't give yourself pressure, usually drink more water, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, don't smoke. Tar and other substances in cigarettes are carcinogenic factors of lung cancer and pancreatic cancer. Recent studies have shown that smoking is also associated with cervical cancer in women.
