Why is heatstroke?
summary
In hot summer, although people can wear cool clothes, many people will suffer from heatstroke. After heatstroke, people's immune ability will be particularly poor, and people will not be able to eat. Even some people's mental state will be greatly affected. So why do people suffer from heatstroke? If we don't understand the cause of heatstroke, we certainly can't actively carry out targeted treatment. Let's take a look!
Why is heatstroke?
There are many reasons for heatstroke. If you work in a workshop with high temperature and poor ventilation, you are prone to heatstroke; In agriculture and open-air operation, the direct exposure to the sun, coupled with the exposure of the earth to the sun, makes the atmospheric temperature rise again, makes people's meninges congested, cerebral cortex ischemia causes heatstroke, and the increase of humidity in the air is easy to induce heatstroke; In public places and families, the crowd is crowded, the heat production is concentrated, and the heat dissipation is difficult. In addition to high temperature, sun exposure, mental stress, too intensive personnel, too much work intensity, too long time, lack of sleep, fatigue are common causes.
Under the control of hypothalamic thermoregulatory center, the heat production and heat dissipation of normal human body are in dynamic balance, and the body temperature is maintained at about 37 ℃. When people are exercising, the metabolism of the body accelerates and the heat production increases. With the help of skin vascular dilation, blood flow acceleration, sweat gland secretion increase and respiration acceleration, the body sends the heat generated in the body to the body surface, and dissipates heat through radiation, conduction, convection and evaporation, so as to keep the body temperature within the normal range. When the air temperature exceeds the skin temperature (generally 32-35 ℃), or there are heat radiation sources in the environment (such as electric stove and open fire), or the air humidity is too high and the ventilation is poor, the heat in the body is difficult to radiate through radiation, conduction, evaporation and convection, and even absorb heat from the external environment, resulting in heat storage in the body, thus causing heatstroke.
In the high temperature (generally refers to the room temperature more than 35 ℃) environment or the hot summer sun exposure to work for a certain period of time, and there is no enough heatstroke prevention measures, often prone to heatstroke. Sometimes the temperature does not reach high temperature, but due to high humidity and poor ventilation, heat stroke can also occur. Old age, weakness, fatigue, obesity, drinking, hunger, water loss, salt loss, wearing tight and airtight clothes, fever, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, extensive skin damage, congenital sweat gland deficiency, and the use of atropine or other anticholinergic drugs to affect the secretion of sweat glands are often the pathogenic factors of heatstroke.
matters needing attention
Now more and more people are suffering from heatstroke because of the high temperature, so we must take protective measures when we go out. In addition, we should try not to go out at noon, and try to wear loose cotton clothes in summer, which can also help us to discharge sweat.
