summary

I know that I have renal cancer. In March, I had minimally invasive nephrectomy, and now it has improved a little. For postoperative care of renal cancer, let me tell you.

Postoperative nursing of renal cancer

First, patients after nephrectomy should lie on their back and turn their head to one side before they wake up under general anesthesia to prevent asphyxia caused by aspiration of vomitus. Generally, they should lie on their back for 2-3 days and get out of bed after no complications are observed.

Second: after nephrectomy, do not open the gauze covering the wound at will, and use hands to touch or water to clean the wound, so as to avoid wound infection. If there are signs of infection, timely treatment should be given.

Third: Patients with abdominal distension after nephrectomy can use gastrointestinal decompression, anal exhaust or take traditional Chinese medicine under the guidance of doctors. Within 3-5 days after nephrectomy, patients often have fever, and their body temperature can be about 38 ℃. Physical methods can be used to reduce the temperature.

matters needing attention

If the food intake is small after operation, intravenous rehydration is needed. If necessary, radiotherapy or anticancer drugs should be given in time according to the nature of tumor after nephrectomy.
