Autism screening process?
summary
Children's autism has always been the focus of social attention. Doctors and parents are devoting themselves to nursing, hoping that children can get rid of autism. What are the treatment methods for children's autism? I would like to remind you that before treatment, you need to do six kinds of tests. Let's get to know.
Autism screening process?
There are 15 items in the scale, each item is divided into seven grades according to 0.5 points from 1 to 4, 1 is normal, 4 is the most serious, and the cumulative total score cars ≤ 29.5 is normal; The total score of cars was 30-36.5, which was mild to moderate autism; Severe autism was defined as the total score of cars ≥ 37. The abnormal rate of electroencephalogram (EEG) or brain topographic map (map) is 10% - 83%. Due to the different interpretation standards and selected samples of general EEG, there are great differences. Generally speaking, the more leads, the higher the abnormal rate. The more obvious the impairment of IQ, the higher the probability of EEG abnormality and epilepsy. But there are about 20% - 40% of children with epilepsy before puberty, EEG may not be abnormal.
The results of MRI showed that the total area of brain stem and pons in some autistic children were smaller than those in the control group. The area of median sagittal plane of vermis in cerebellum VI and VII was 19% smaller than that in the normal control group. It is suggested that cerebellar dysplasia may be associated with some autism. SPECT single photon emission computed tomography can detect cerebral blood flow. SPECT examination of autistic children found that cerebral blood flow perfusion was abnormal, the positive rate was 75%. It is mainly manifested in the cerebral cortex, cerebellum and subcortical structures, concentrated in the frontal and temporal lobe of the cortex, and the left frontal lobe is the most common. At the same time, the regional blood flow perfusion of hippocampal gyrus decreased.
Brainstem auditory evoked potential is abnormal in children with autism. There are abnormal reports from I to V waves, and the abnormal rate is as high as 20% - 60%. It is suggested that the change of brain stem function may be one of the factors affecting the symptoms of autism. The dysfunction of brain stem function may lead to the damage of transmission pathways to the brain, which may be one of the reasons for the abnormal development of cognitive, social and language abilities in children with autism. Other examinations should be done according to the needs, such as chromosome analysis and intelligence test.
matters needing attention
In order to promote the development of children's language and social communication ability, planned special education is very important. There are many techniques and methods used in special education, such as image teaching, gesture, posture, communication, games, emotional giving, music and physical therapy, art, etc.
