Urethral polyps, also known as urethral polyps, are common in women. It is believed that its occurrence is related to the serious decrease of estrogen.
It is a small mass at the urethral orifice, with local pain, bleeding and burning sensation during urination. Physical examination showed that the caruncle is mostly at 6 o'clock, generally 0.5-1.0cm large, pedicled or broad base, light red or dark red, soft and painful to touch, and easy to bleed. A few larger caruncle can be annular around the urethral orifice. The diagnosis can be made according to the clinical manifestations.
Histologically, there were infiltration of inflammatory cells, fibrosis and varicose veins in varying degrees, with few canceration. They could be divided into three types, namely papilloma type, hemangioma type and granuloma type.

In addition, no treatment is needed for asymptomatic patients with urethral polyps, and most of them use estrogen ointment for external use, with good effect; for those who do not heal for a long time, electric cauterization, freezing, laser or surgical resection can be used
