summary

Pancreatic cancer is a malignant tumor of the pancreas, which is characterized by high malignancy, rapid progression and poor prognosis. Pancreatic cancer usually has only a few months from early symptoms to late stage until death. This makes it difficult to detect and treat pancreatic cancer in early stage. Therefore, it is very important to understand the causes of pancreatic cancer and prevent it. There are many causes of pancreatic cancer. Do you know the causes of pancreatic cancer?

Three causes of pancreatic cancer

First, drinking. Drinking is a common cause of pancreatic cancer. The incidence rate of pancreatic cancer varies after drinking. Studies on the relationship between alcohol consumption and the incidence rate of pancreatic cancer in black and white Americans show that the prevalence of black men's alcoholics and moderate female drinkers is higher than that of whites.

Second, diabetes. Experimental studies have shown that insulin can promote the growth of pancreatic cancer cells in vitro or in vivo; high concentration of insulin can activate insulin-like growth factor-1 receptor and produce growth promoting effect including the change of cell cycle process.

Third, smoking. Smoking promotes the secretion of tobacco specific n-nitrite, a carcinogen, into the bile duct and then into the pancreatic duct.
