summary

Cervical cancer is a common cancer disease that plagues women's health, so how do we diagnose ourselves with cervical cancer?

Three common diagnostic methods of cervical cancer

First, cervical smear cytology. This method can detect cervical precancerous lesions and early cervical cancer, because there are 5% - 10% false negative rate, so patients should be checked regularly.

Second, iodine test. Normal cervical and vaginal squamous epithelium are rich in glycogen, which can be stained brown by iodine solution, while cervical erosion and abnormal squamous epithelium (including atypical hyperplasia, carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma) have no glycogen and will not be stained.

Third, cervical and cervical canal biopsy. If cervical smear cytology is grade III-IV, but cervical biopsy is negative, multiple tissues should be taken for pathological examination.
