Symptom 1: abdominal pain is the earliest symptom, beginning with upper abdominal distension, followed by abdominal pain. Abdominal pain of pancreatic head cancer tends to the right upper abdomen, and pancreatic body and tail cancer tends to the left upper abdomen. A few people may have periumbilical pain, even right lower abdominal pain or left lower abdominal pain. In the later stage, there may be abdominal and back pain in a banded shape, which is often related to body position. It is aggravated in supine position, slightly relieved in bending, forward leaning sitting position or lateral lying position, aggravated after eating, and more severe at night.

Symptom 2: jaundice is an early symptom of pancreatic head cancer. Jaundice may occur at a certain stage of the course of disease. Generally, jaundice is more common in pancreatic head cancer, and occurs earlier. When the cancer is limited to the body and tail, there is no jaundice. Jaundice is mostly obstructive, showing progressive deepening, accompanied by skin itching and other symptoms.

Symptom 3: gastrointestinal symptoms: lack of appetite, dyspepsia, stomach and duodenal bleeding, epigastric fullness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, constipation or diarrhea, white pottery color stool.

Because of the different location, the clinical manifestations may be different. If the primary site of the tumor is close to the ampulla, which is easy to block the lower end of the common bile duct, jaundice will appear first; if the pancreatic duct drainage is affected, abdominal pain will appear first; if the whole pancreas is invaded, various main symptoms will appear.
