How does alcohol liver check

Recently, because of business, I often need to go out to drink, and drink all night. Today, I found that I was dizzy and nauseous, and I didn't have the strength all over my body, and I didn't want to eat. I always thought that I didn't care about the rain and hot weather. But recently I found that I have liver pain and discomfort. My colleague said that I may have alcoholic liver disease, but I don't know which items of alcoholic liver disease need to be examined. Now I'd like to share with you my experience in detecting alcoholic liver disease.

How does alcohol liver check

First: blood routine examination. Patients with alcoholic liver disease may have leukocytosis, various morphologic abnormalities of red blood cells, including target cells, giant red blood cells, spiny cells and mouth cells, increased mean red blood cell volume (MCV), may appear thrombocytopenia, due to the direct toxic effect of alcohol on bone marrow or secondary hypersplenism. Second: liver function test. Patients with alcoholic liver disease will have increased serum bilirubin, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity significantly increased, while alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity only slightly increased or normal. The sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive value of AST: ALT ratio were 68%, 91% and 82% respectively when the ratio was more than 2. The activities of alkaline phosphatase and r-glutamyltranspeptidase (r-GT) increased. R-GT is a sensitive but nonspecific marker. Combined detection of MCV, R-G and alkaline phosphatase is an ideal laboratory index for the diagnosis of alcoholic liver disease. If you often drink, liver function will be worse than other people, you need to check whether there is inflammation in the liver.

Third: liver B ultrasound and CT examination. The ratio of liver and spleen density can be used as the reference standard to measure alcoholic fatty liver or the basis of follow-up effect. Some patients were found to have alcoholic hyaline body (Mallory body) by liver biopsy, accompanied by neutrophil infiltration of cell necrosis, balloon like degeneration of liver cells and so on. Liver B ultrasound is very important, because the last one is to need this project to diagnose.

The diet of alcoholic liver must pay attention to abstain from alcohol. It is better not to drink alcoholic drinks. It is found that if alcoholic liver patients are still drinking, it will lead to relapse and deterioration of the disease. Patients with alcoholic liver disease had better take warning. If they can completely quit drinking, it can effectively improve the treatment effect of patients and promote the recovery of the disease. The best treatment for patients with liver function is to abstain from alcohol. Don't drink or eat any alcohol, so as not to aggravate the disease. In normal times, you can drink more fruit juice, and vegetable juice is also a good choice.
