Second: blood borne infection may also be the route of transmission of syphilis: the course of syphilis is long, especially in patients with latent syphilis. Although there are pathogens in the body, there may be no clinical manifestations. Healthy people or patients with other diseases can be infected with syphilis if they have imported blood or blood products provided by them.

The route of transmission of syphilis may also be the placenta: pregnant women with syphilis, without timely detection and treatment, or incomplete treatment, Treponema pallidum can be transmitted to the fetus through the blood circulation of the placenta, so that the fetus infected with syphilis. Placental infection mainly occurs in pregnant women with early syphilis.
