summary

Two days ago, I was diagnosed as brain tumor by the doctor. Maybe it's because of brain tumor. Recently, I always have headache, tinnitus, and even memory decline. Meningioma is divided into intracranial meningioma and ectopic meningioma. The former is formed by intracranial arachnoid cells. The tumor is located in the brain tissue, with infiltration, irregular shape, unclear boundary, soft texture, fragile, necrosis, hemorrhage and cystic change. There are three types of tumor cells: fibrous type, spindle cell type and pleomorphic cell type.

What types can meningioma be divided into?

1. Endothelial type is the most common type. Most of them were found in the convex surface of the brain, parasagittal sinus, falx cerebri, sphenoid ridge and olfactory groove. The tumor consists of arachnoid epithelial cells. The size and shape of the cells vary greatly. Some cells are very small, spindle shaped and closely arranged. Some cells are very large, with round nucleus, thin and few chromatin, 1 to 2 nucleoli and rich and uniform cytoplasm. The tumor cells were centripetally arranged in clusters or cords. There were few blood vessels between tumor cells and no collagen fibers.

2. Fibroblastic type, composed of fibroblasts and collagen fibers, tumor cells arranged in longitudinal, occasionally palisade. Intercellular meningioma has a large number of thick collagen fibers, common sand bodies. There were a lot of sand bodies in the tumor, cells arranged in whirlpool, vascular endothelial swelling and calcification after vitreous degeneration.

3. Mixed meningioma or transitional meningioma, this type of meningioma contains the above four components, but it is not sure which component is the main, can be called mixed meningioma. Malignant meningioma has the growth characteristics of meningioma, cell morphology has the characteristics of malignant tumor, and metastasis can occur. This kind of tumor may be benign at first, but malignant later, especially for some recurrent meningiomas.

matters needing attention

Patients must pay attention to that CyberKnife is a special equipment for stereotactic radiotherapy of tumors in all parts of the body. Under the guidance of intelligent image, it uses robot arm to accurately and noninvasively eliminate tumors with multiple high-energy rays. Multiple ray beams focus on the lesion area, causing a very high dose of radiation, and the adjacent normal tissues can be protected from obvious damage. Through 1-5 times of treatment, the effect of destroying tumors in any part of the body can be achieved.
