Is the lung stone serious
summary
My uncle is 32 years old. He went to the night market to drink with his friends a week ago. When he came back, he felt that he was so hot that he took a cold bath. At 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning, I heard my father and mother get up and wake up in a hurry. I said that your uncle was hospitalized with high fever. Now we went to see him. When we got to the hospital, we saw my aunt waiting for my uncle to do CT in front of the CT door. The structural diagnosis was pulmonary abscess, so we were hospitalized. After the doctor's detailed introduction, we know that there is a certain relationship between pneumonia and lung abscess. From the clinical symptoms, these two diseases are almost indistinguishable, so we need to use medical equipment examination to diagnose pneumonia or lung abscess, or the combination of the two diseases.
Is the lung stone serious
First: from the etiology, pneumonia and lung abscess are caused by infection, so there will be high fever, chills, cough, chest tightness and other symptoms; but generally speaking, the symptoms of lung abscess are heavier than those of pneumonia, because abscess is the lung tissue necrosis and suppuration caused by the further development of inflammation.
Second: from the perspective of CT, pneumonia is only the local inflammatory exudate of the lung, which leads to the increase of the density of local lung tissue; while lung abscess is the necrosis and liquefaction of lung tissue caused by severe local inflammation, that is to say, the lung is rotten and purulent.
Third: due to the local necrosis and suppuration of the lung, the patients with lung abscess often have the symptoms of high fever, severe cough and a large number of expectoration, and the treatment is more difficult and troublesome than the general pneumonia. So lung abscess is much more severe than ordinary pneumonia.
matters needing attention
Because pneumonia and lung abscess are not separated by clinical treatment, so if patients have high fever, chills, expectoration, it is best to do a lung CT, which can better identify pneumonia and lung abscess without delaying treatment.
