Acute tracheobronchitis is an acute inflammation of tracheobronchial mucosa caused by biological, physical, chemical or allergic factors. The main clinical symptoms are cough and expectoration, which are common in cold season or sudden climate change. It can also spread from acute upper respiratory tract infection. Symptoms and treatment of bronchitis

First: the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection are usually present first, such as nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, hoarseness, etc. The general symptoms were mild, only mild chills, fever, headache and general soreness. Cough began to be mild, irritating, less sputum.

Second: mucus secretion in the larger bronchus, there may be thick dry rales, disappeared after coughing. Wet rales can be heard in the lungs when the watery secretions accumulate in the bronchioles.  

Third, chest X-ray showed no abnormality or only lung texture deepening. The number of blood lymphocytes in virus infected patients increased, and the total number of white blood cells and the proportion of neutrophils increased.

The mucous membrane of trachea and bronchus was hyperemia and edema, the ciliated epithelial cells were damaged and shed, the mucous glands were hypertrophic, the secretions were increased, and lymphocytes and neutrophils were infiltrated. After the inflammation subsided, the structure and function of trachea and bronchus mucosa could return to normal.
